A number of freeway lanes have been closed after a dump truck with a raised bin crashed right into a bridge in Markham early Friday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the truck was travelling south on Freeway 404 round 1 a.m. when it struck the overpass on Freeway 407.
In photographs uploaded to X, previously Twitter, the bin of the dump truck may be seen badly broken. Police say the driving force was not injured. Police haven’t indicated whether or not the driving force will face costs.
The bridge sustained some harm, in keeping with police, however engineers have since deemed it structurally secure.
Police reminded drivers Friday to verify they verify the surface of their autos earlier than departing.
